IMPARTING KNOWLEDGE DURING PANDEMIC
COVID-19 pandemic has affected all of us in our day to day lives. It has impacted various sectors out of which education was ramified the most. Teachers and students were not able to go to their schools and colleges, making it very intricate for the teachers to teach the students. But, because of the development of our technology, it did not take much time for schools and colleges to start the teaching online on various internet platforms like Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom and many more. As difficult as it was for the students to understand the vital concepts online, it is perhaps more complex for the teachers to teach online.
A new pedagogy of teaching was
introduced, PowerPoint Presentations, Recordings and many other ways of teaching
were started to be used. As essential as the internet is for online teaching,
it is also a significant barrier between the teacher and students. When such a
big portion of the country is using the internet, the connection becomes weak
and it becomes problematic for the teachers to communicate and teach their
students. Despite of all these impeding situations, the teachers taught the students as if
there were no barriers and did all they could do to help them. When parents
were afraid about their children’s education, they were the teachers who held
patience and came up all the difficulties in teaching their students. Now,
slowly and gradually the students and the teachers have accepted the new
normal. While this may not be the ideal scenario, it is surely the need of an
hour.
